Forsaken - Bomb/Defuse
Made by Foofinoo
Legends about antic old relics are quite common in both literature and history.
However, a recent discovery about a puzzling temple lost in South America starts fueling all sorts of insane theories.
Some archaeologists are even pretending that some kind of secret weapon or power would be buried deep inside.
Terrorists, always on the lookout, heard about these stories.
Of course, they'd like to possess such a mighty thing...
Thus, they decided to go find out by themselves, using their very own methods — you know, blowing up everything.
Well, if they can't get their hands on it, then nobody can !
Another map requested by the GSU Clan, another remake...
This time, the layout is based on DE_Vertigo (the CSGO 2019 version).
I think I started this map around December.
There's been some progressing times and stagnating times — that can explain such delay — but around 95% was done by mid-March...
As you can expect, the layout might be similar, but the theme is completely different.
What I had in mind for this map was turning a place high in the air into something rather down-to-earth (you got it ?).
Incidentally, I must admit I had this idea when I was playing a lot at Spelunky...
Anyway, it's taking place in an old temple, somewhat fancy and anachronistic , where archaeologists are working quite extensively.
You can still find a lot of stuff left by them all around the place (because a greater threat was coming).
I wanted to mix the greenish old stones with something more contemporary like metal, boxes, bars, scaffolding or "artificial" lights.
Coupled with the light greenish fog, it can even feel a bit stifling or suffocating...
In the end, I think it turned out pretty good. Sure, it might not be really realistic nor rigorous historically, but who cares ?
Yeah, I know, in some places, W_Polys are going a bit crazy (around 1400 - 1600), but I tried my best to optimize it. Most of the time, they are under 1000.
Still, I think it's really playable as it only appears in places where you can see a large portion of the map.
Finally, I'd like to thank :
• The GSU Clan for all their tests and suggestions
• Glock18 for his feedback and his suggestions
• Tigre11ify for the navigation file
Have fun and enjoy the map !
